Happy holidays, everyone!
I hope everyone's having a lovely time and wish everyone a happy new year too while at it!
Mesalia is slowly closing in on having run its full 5th year and the start of its 6th. For one who's been around since start it's pretty unbelievable. Over the years, a lot have happened. A lot of things have changed and it took a good while to find where we want Mesalia to be, what we want it to be.
It's taken many maps... Corelian, Azuran, Nymphan, Aurian, the middle map, Ravennan, Alroc and the current one: Nightveil. And the show goes on. 8 maps in 5 years?! How?! That's crazy! Yes, it is, but the first year swallowed 4(!!!) of those.
It's taken many rules. From barely any to an abundance. And once again a re-write is planed and in motion.
We've got new exciting lore, from all kinds of sources.
Many hosts... Many lessons learned. Of all these maps, 3 were lost due to faults at the host. Or 3½ due to the fact we lost the latest Alroc map when one host started scamming its customers...! Our current host, Fragnet.net, are brilliant. And Swedish...
Many forums! A total of... 5. Yep, this is our 5th forum I'm quite sure. The first one to have any major design updates. Again, the first year swallowed 3.
Donations! Thank to all of you who's donated through the years.
And... players. So many players have passed through Mesalia. Many friendly welcomes and thankfully near no unfriendly ones. And many sad but friendly goodbyes, although a lot of rot has been filtered out too as is the nature of any community.
Cheers to yet another fantastic year together with many adventures ahead!
