Appearance
Lien is a young woman, maybe 19 or 20 years old by appearances alone. She is short (4'11") and has a petite figure. She has dark, freckled skin and even darker, monolidded eyes. Her hair is black and waist-length: it is the pride and joy of her appearance and she likes to wear it in loose curls. Lien typically wears a plain blouse with a brown leather corset and a bright long skirt: she currently owns one in orange-red and one in teal. The teal one is a bit singed along the bottom hem. Her only accessory is a simple chain necklace with a yellow flower pendant that Zaira made her. She also has a plain nightgown and a plain silk hair scarf that she wears to bed. More recently, she has obtained a backless, orange-red gown with a revealing slit up the side that she wears shamelessly to formal events.

Personality
She's like a typical bard and a typical teenage girl, except in one complicated person. Lien needs socialising like this character sheet needs glitter text (not a real need, but pretty important part of its identity), she's extroverted and fun-loving, she could talk underwater. She also is a bit oblivious to hardship or experiences outside her own, because she has a lot of different experiences for her age (travel, relationships, partying) that make her see herself as someone who knows everything. But after a lot of time in Nightveil she's starting to understand she knows nothing and is usually scared but accepting of that.

Lien puts on a bravado sometimes. Sometimes her bravado is just one big joke itself, like she's making fun of people who are full of themselves, including herself. Usually she is genuinely self-loving to a fault (over-indulges, doesn't see her own problems, vanity), but when stuff can't be ignored or avoided, she uses the humor of the bravado as a way to make herself more comfortable, even if it means making the problem seem less like a deal than it is. Sometimes she just feels pressure to remain cheerful so other people approve of her. But its also sometimes obvious when she is putting it on because she's bad at keeping things to herself: she loves to complain, especially if someone is willing to listen.

She does care about people, even if she isn't sensitive to their needs. There are a few things she always tries to take seriously, no matter how uncomfortable she gets. Things like death, depression, etc. And despite her ego other people's opinions of her tend to affect her deeply. Her self-love is kind of a compensation for the feelings of not being good enough that she thinks she gets from others. Her family has played a big role in this.

Lien is a slacker. She can be pretty unapologetic about the work she puts on others, simply because she thinks it's ok to get what you want without working for it: that is luxury. She will work if made to, or if tricked into finding the work entertaining, but generally she loves doing whatever she wants. Her relationship with self-improvement, whether it's learning new skills or just doing chores, is usually complicated by her own self-love. Generally Lien is at least open to self-improvement, but gets very defensive and easily discouraged when others comment on it, even with encouragement.

Unlike your typical bard, music doesn't have a great importance to her. It's just a fun job that she can do pretty easily. She recognises how it can help express or influence emotions and sometimes she uses it for that, but if she could make an easier living without it, she would.

If she was a pokemon, she'd be jigglypuff.

i touched up relations
added a to-do list because i keep forgetting what i need to rp
i also did an art that matches the whole pixel myspace vibe i've got here :D
shut up it's cute

one day there will be a theme song here but i can't come up with a serious one
