For the convenience of all and for the sake of clarity, this is a complete monster manual for the mobs seen IG. Just because we have clarification to the mobs doesn’t mean there can’t be additions later, or that this is by any means an exhaustive list of the IC wildlife. That’s not really possible to do and no one wants to read that anyway. There is also a good chance there will be additions or changes to this as time goes on.
When RPing most of the time acknowledgement of mobs spawning is up to the players, but its important we keep in mind that wandering the woods or even town at night is dangerous. Please don't ignore mobs all together, when there is clearly a large gathering, server announcements or spawners means the mobs there are intended to be IC, and need to RP’d accordingly. Here is a quick rundown of the mobs your character can and will encounter.
Common Dusk Creatures
“The IC name for mobs is “dusk creatures”, or some sort of variation like “dusk fiend”. These include zombies, skeletons, spider jockeys, spiders and cave spiders. These beings contain the Nether element and burn when exposed to sunlight due to high Aether levels in the atmosphere. Spiders [And Darkwalkers] seem to be the only exception to this, though there is no definite explanation as to why.” - MichelleThese types of dusk monsters can be found all over the world, though most cities in the mainland rarely see them they can be deadly pests in places still undeveloped or in farmlands.
The Undead
Mobs: Zombies,
IC Names: The Dead, Duskies, Walking Dead, Zombie,
Danger: High
The walking dead are common enough, and range from gooey shambling messes, to something akin to dusty old bones. The weapons they can wield or even their ability to wear armor ranges drastically. Though Minecraft by default will only ever spawn skeletons with bows, IC its possible any manner of undead could have any range of weaponry. The undead are drawn by Nether and can be thickest in areas saturated by it. No one really knows for certain what causes the undead. They are not the bodies of dead people, some folks claim that when enough Nether festers in an area at night the undead can occur. Of all the dusk monsters, they are the most common.
The undead have few vulnerable points which can make fighting them challenging. When they are in mass or armed with bows they become deadly problems. Part of the challenge when fighting the undead is that they do no recoil or feel pain. When lopping off the arm of a zombie it will do nothing to impede its attack outside of forcing it to use its other arm to claw at you. This being said, most undead aren’t terribly smart. They can easily be misled, herded or fled from as they act only on instinct.
Random Items:
This mob has never been a living person but a construct of Nether clumping. The items it may be carrying or wearing could be from other people they’ve attacked. These items range from old weapons, armor, carrots, potatoes, gold, Iron and tools.
Rotten Flesh:
Ewh, don’t eat that. Rich with Nether it’s sure to make you sick. Like it being rotten wouldn’t already see to that.
Skeletons
Mobs: Skeletons
IC Names: Skeletons, Old Bones,
Danger: High
Skeletons appear to be the animated bones of the dead, but as with zombies they were never living people. For some reason these undead most often carry bows, though can also wear any range of armor. Minecraft by default will only ever spawn skeletons with bows, IC its possible any manner of undead could have any range of weaponry. The undead are drawn by Nether and can be thickest in areas saturated by it. No one really knows for certain what causes the undead.
Skeletons have few vulnerable points which can make fighting them challenging. Skeleton accuracy may not be as dangerous as a person, but they can be deadly. While not terribly intelligent they do chase their prey and attack faster when pursued. As with zombies they do not recoil or feel pain. Most Skeletons must be killed by destroying their head, crushing their spine or dismemberment.
Bones:
“Bonemeal is basically what its name suggests: a white powder made from the grinded bones of skeletons. When mixed with water, it creates a paste which can be used in dyes and as a growth enhancer for plants and fungi. As it comes from a dusk being, bonemeal has high levels of Nether. Even though plants such as trees and crops are made of Aether, they have a defence mechanism against Nether. So, applying bonemeal to a sapling activates the tree’s defence against the Nether element and forces it to grow and become stronger so it may produce enough Aether to repel the Nether in the bonemeal. Fungi such as mushrooms work differently, however; Mushrooms themselves and other fungi in Mesalia contain a balance of Aether and Nether, so when that balance is upset by something such as Nether in bonemeal or just natural Nether clumping, giant mushrooms result.” - Michelle
Bows:
When killed it’s possible to salvage a bow from the undead. The bows often are very old, but sometimes in good enough condition to still be used. Though most often need maintenance.
Arrows:
The simple stone arrows used by the dusk monsters can also be collected and recycled.
Giant Spiders
Mobs: Spiders
IC Names: Spiders, Eight-legged bastards
Danger: Moderate/High
Spiders are balanced like most animals, but due to the make-up of their bodies, the concentration of Nether during nighttime aggravates them, which turns them aggressive. It’s similar to an oversensitivity of some sort; Applying aether to a spider can calm and sedate, while applying Nether can irritate and enrage the spider. For this reason spiders usually only hunt at night.
Luckily these huge arachnids are solitary hunters, only gathering to mate. Usually they do not swarm in great numbers but it has been known to happen in areas with few predators and lots of prey on hand. They’re deadly hunters, known to lay in wait for unsuspecting victims. Unlike most dusk monsters, spiders show a great deal of intelligence for ambush hunting their prey.
String:
Spider silk is known for making very fine clothing and is used in intricate embroidery. The amount of silk need for clothing and the danger in gathering it makes it prohibitively expensive, few have ever seen it.
Venomous Spiders
Mobs: Cave Spiders
IC Names: Spiders, Venomous Spiders, Cavern Spiders, Cave Spiders, Poison Spiders
Danger: High
It’s well known that spiders that live underground in caverns and abandoned mineshafts. These spiders often localize around one nest where they are both born and depending on situation is often where they’ll drag prey back before feeding on it. Unlike their larger brethren, venomous spiders are always hostile and consist of much more nether, thus Aether harms and enrages them.
While venomous spiders are smaller than their non-venomous cousins, they tend to move quickly in groups and have the advantage of being venomous. Getting bit by these spiders can be deadly in of itself, and its recommended not to engage them, and when encountering them in mines it’s usually best to burn them out or barricade the nest. Venomous spiders are also ambush predators and will often lay in way or doggedly chase down prey.
Venom:
The common cave spider has a neurotoxic venom, it can cause seizing of muscles, stiffness, and in some cases organ failure which can lead to death. Spider venom can be deadly in the elderly, weak or very young.
String:
Spider silk is known for making very fine clothing and is used in intricate embroidery. The amount of silk need for clothing and the danger in gathering it makes it prohibitively expensive, few have ever even seen it.
Spider Riders
Mobs: Spider Jockeys
IC Names: Spider mounts, Undead Riders, Spider Riders
Danger: Very High
Rare as they are there is little more frightening than the undead mounted upon a spider, they are deadly both in short and long range and can climb and scale walls and structures. Most spider jockeys lean towards using a bow from ranged and the spider attacks close up, still able to freely jump and attack prey inspite of the rider on its back. The skeleton, just like normal undead, doesn’t feel pain, and doesn’t suffer from any sort of wincing when attacked. So even if dismounted the rider will still present a very real danger to the prey.
It’s not recommended to engage without help. The mounted undead benefits from its own hardiness and the mobility of a spider. Spider riders are possibly the most dangerous of the undead as they seem to be capable of more complex reasoning and problem solving. Though not truly a sentient creature, the spider riders are deadly hunter. Beware.
Dark Walkers
Mobs: Endermen
IC Names: Walkers, Dark ones,
Danger: Very High
The dark walkers are unlike any of the other dusk in that it doesn’t seem that they manifest in the setting sun nore are they bothered by it’s rise. They are simply more active at night, and found mostly in the forbidden lands. They first appeared only in a few regions but have through the years spread and grown in numbers. The build of the void walker is vaguely human but heavily distorted and rather bizarre. Encounters with dark walkers can be terrifying, some people have nightmares or harbor intense fear long after the encounters. Dark walkers will attack if provoked, sadly this doesn't take more than looking the dark walker in the eye to cause.
The mysterious creatures of darkness can vanish at will and at the same time appear elsewhere, and when enraged will attempt to rip apart their foes with haunting cries and dogged tenacity. They have long deadly claws that can shred hardened leather and their touch causes intense pain that tends to linger for days after the attack. They're very dangerous for this reason and it’s often recommended to not look at a dark walker at all and to let them take whatever they carry off unless you're looking for a very difficult fight. The only known weakness of the dark walker is water, anything from rain to lake water is acidic to its skin, and begins to melt on contact. This doesn’t seem to apply to any other liquids, just water. The inky blood of these creatures is known to stain any material it comes in contact with.
Ender Pearls:
The strange pearls, while beautiful, aren’t known to have much more of a connection with dark walkers other than sometimes they’re found around where the dark walkers have been.
Slimes
Mobs: Slimes
IC Names: Slimes, Blobs, Ooze
Danger: Moderate/High
Amorphous and acidic, slimes are dangerous only when allowed to get large enough to do serious harm. The slime’s entire body seems to be covered in a digestive acid that eats away at everything from armor to clothing and people. Its well known that blobs will absorb entire people and slowly feed off them as their victim’s body dissolves inside of it.
Slimes come in any manner of shape and sizes. The smaller ones are easily enough crushed and dissolved, but the larger they are the more likely it is that cutting or attacking them will only break off smaller, aggressive chunks.
Slimeballs:
Fresh slime balls from a slime is not only recklessly dangerous to collect, but most containers it could be put in would just be eaten away given enough time. If the acid is neutralized with a base (such a milk) it can be recycled as a powerful and permanent adhesive.
Mobs: Zombies,

Danger: High
The walking dead are common enough, and range from gooey shambling messes, to something akin to dusty old bones. The weapons they can wield or even their ability to wear armor ranges drastically. Fresh slime balls from a slime is not only recklessly dangerous to collect, but most containers it could be put in would just be eaten away given enough time. If the acid is neutralized with a base (such a milk) it can be recycled as a powerful and permanent adhesive.
Common Animals
These animals are also found all over the world and in the forbidden lands. Most characters would be aware of them even if they have never seen them before.
Chickens
Mobs: Chicken
IC Names: Rooster, Chicks, Chickens, Hens, Junglefowl, Cock
Danger: Low
A type of bird that while capable of flight in the wild, remains fairly easy to corner and catch. Most of the mainlands and the forbidden lands have domesticated the wild Junglefowl into chickens or something close to it.
Chickens are not very dangerous, while their beaks can be sharp and their feet are clawed, they are small animals and easily smacked away.
Chicken:
Chickens breed quickly, grow quickly (compared to say, cattle, horses, sheep, or pigs) their meat is usually a staple wherever possible. Chicken meat is generally a pale pink and grows to be white when fully cooked. Raw chicken can make a person seriously ill.
Eggs:
Female chickens or hens ovulate almost daily. As such eggs are easy to gather from them. Without a rooster to fertilize the eggs they otherwise go to waste. Eggs are tasty, nutritious and generally valuable. But need to be properly cooked before consumption.
Wild Sheep
Mobs: Sheep
IC Names: Sheep, Lamb, Mutton
Danger: Low
Wild sheep may have large curling horns depending on breed, much like goats. They live in small herds and are known to be spry and difficult to catch if they get running. The thick shaggy coats on the sheep are good for shearing and make them easy to spot. With the right training it is possible to domesticate sheep.
Generally docile, sheep are not really much of a threat to anything. They can head-butt one another or attack animals in a panic but generally are some of the easiest herd animals to handle, in spite of their powerful odour.
Leather:
Assuming you have the skill to properly remove the skin from the dead animal, then treat and tan it, any number of uses are available for leather, and its a rather important part of everyday life. Sheep leather is usually too soft to be made into a hard leather, and is only suitable for clothing, not tools or armor.
Wool:
The wool of these animals can be sheared with no harm done to the animal and spun into anything from yarn to fabrics. Wool is an important part of life.
Mutton:
Lamb,or mutton, is a popular food item. While IG no items are dropped a dead sheep gives a considerable amount of food, though the wool they produce may be worth more.
Wild Goats
Mobs: Sheep
IC Names: Goats
Danger: Moderate
Goats travel in small groups of two to three, usually family units. They have curling horns that are much thicker and larger than that of sheep. The horns are used in self defence and for displays of dominance between males during mating seasons. Goats usually have thick shaggy wool that is called mohair, ranging in color from grey black to chestnut. Some breeds may have cashmere wool.
Goats are intelligent enough to be trained as beasts of burden but lack the pulling might of cows. They can be trained and domesticated and are possibly more widespread in that capacity then cows or sheep. With the necessary skills domestication of goats can be very rewarding.
Wool:
The wool types of goats can be spun into clothing. Young mohair and cashmere makes for great insulating clothing, whilst older mohair wool is heavier, and is useful for carpets and outdoor-wear.
Leather:
Assuming you have the skill to properly remove the skin from the dead animal, then treat and tan it, any number of uses are available for leather, and its a rather important part of everyday life. Goat leather is usually too soft to be made into a hard leather, and is only suitable for clothing, not tools or armor.
Milk:
You can milk pregnant or new mother goats. The milk is usually a yellow-white cream color. Milk is largely used for cooking and consumption. It can also be used to neutralize slime acid.
Mutton:
Chevon, or mutton, is a popular food item. While IG no items are dropped a dead goat gives a considerable amount of food.
Boars
Mobs: Pig
IC Names: Boar, Pig, Swine, Sow, Hog
Danger: Moderate
Wild boar, more commonly contracted to boar, appear smaller than pigs with a large head and short legs and sport a coat of fur which usually appears in earthy tones and creamy-white, rarely becoming so dark as to appear black. They share the cloven feet and snouts of their domesticated cousins. In the case of the male a pair of sharp ivory tusks are set at the front of the jaw.
They do not often interact with animals but aggression is not entirely uncommon if provoked. This can be dangerous as the boar charges it's target and can cause deep lacerations with its tusks. Despite this, with the necessary experience, boar can be domesticated.
Bacon Pork:
The most common cause for farming boar is to harvest their meat. It is not unlike pork in taste, texture, and toughness but is generally more valuable because of its scarcity by comparison.
Hair:
Often used in hair brushes and paint brushes; the coarse fur is able to hold its shape well and hold paint on the brush, causing less run-off.
Tusks:
Sometimes looked upon as a badge of skill for a hunter, the larger the ivories mounted on the mantle, the better. Although with the right skills they can be made into something more than a trophy.
Horses
Mobs: Horse
IC Names: Horse, Stallion, Mare, Colt
Danger: Moderate
It’s been suspected that horses have always lived across the middle realm in both the mainlands and forbidden lands but the constantly moving herds can be hard to find. Horses in spite of their size are prey animals and will usually flee when approached or threatened. In spite of this, horses have been bred for work and transportation for thousands of years. Domestication of wild horses is extremely difficult and requires specialised training. [Staff Perms Required]
Steer clear of the legs of these animals, for hearty as they are a swift kick to the head or the chest can be deadly. Wild stallions can be extremely aggressive and are capable of kicking and bucking without warning. An entire herd could easily trample anyone careless enough to get too close.
Leather:
Assuming you have the skill to properly remove the skin from the dead animal, then treat and tan it, any number of uses are available for leather, and its a rather important part of everyday life.
Horse Beef:
Horses are edible, but their meat tends to be tougher than that of their docile cousins the cow. Because of the extra effort needed to capture, train and care for horses, they’re not favoured for the food they provide.
Donkeys & Mules
Mobs: Horse (Donkey), Horse (Mule)
IC Names: Donkey, Ass, Mule
Danger: Low/Moderate
Hardy working animals; Donkeys and Mules are often used for labourious tasks that may prove to be too much for their larger cousins. Mules occur when you breed a donkey and a horse. Both species are notorious for being somewhat stubborn and difficult to train. When actually, the problem is the animals tend to be remarkably intelligent and remember mistreatment. So long as donkeys and mules are well treated they can have a pleasant demeanor. [Staff Perms Required]
Steer clear of the legs of these animals, for hearty as they are a swift kick to the head or the chest can be deadly. Otherwise they’re generally not very violent though they can trample people. Their weight coupled with sturdy hooves means they can crush a human skull.
Leather:
Assuming you have the skill to properly remove the skin from the dead animal, then treat and tan it, any number of uses are available for leather, and its a rather important part of everyday life.
Horse Beef:
Donkeys and mules are edible, but their meat tends to be tougher than that of their docile cousins the cow. Because of the extra effort needed to capture, train and care of them, neither are favored for the food they provide.
Wild Cattle
Mobs: Cow
IC Names: Cow, Bulls, Cattle, Bovine
Danger: Low/Moderate
Wild cattle both male and female are horned. They usually have white, brown or black coats of varying stages of shagginess. Cow hair is not as much use as leather made from from cowhide. Wild cattle travel in large herds. Cattle are generally pretty docile animals, and with the exception of bulls at times, generally are not much harm to people. It is very possible with the necessary experience to domesticate cattle into not only livestock but beasts of burden when needed.
While bulls can certainly be dangerous, most cattle are docile. A bull however can gore with its horns and trample people with its immense size. Its weight and sturdy hooves could crush a human skull.
Beef:
Yum! IG Cows do not drop anywhere near the amount of meat one would realistically get from such a huge animal. To put it into perspective, a whole butchered cow could literally /fill/ a full sized fridge.
Leather:
Assuming you have the skill to properly remove the skin from the dead animal, and then treat and tan it, any number of uses are available for leather, and it is a rather important part of everyday life.
Milk:
You can milk pregnant or new mother cows. The milk is usually a yellow-white cream color. Milk is largely used for cooking and consumption. It can also be used to neutralize slime acid.
Octopodes
Mobs: Squid
IC Names: Octopus
Danger: Low
Octopodes/Octopuses are one of many species of cephalopod renowned in many cultures for their multiple limbs, bulbous appearance and often colourful displays or camouflage. They are less common in milder climes, appearing more commonly in warmer waters. They tend toward a solitary lifestyle among the coral and plant life of the sea floor where they hunt for smaller shellfish.
Octopodes are generally docile, with very few species being openly aggressive. While they are not usually known for the number of fatalities they cause physically, there are a number of octopodes that have poisonous tissues ranging in potency from a mild, foul tasting deterrent to those that can kill in a few minutes without aid. These poisons, like others, can be neutralized fully or made less potent to the point of safe consumption by a skilled chef. Though it is not recommended for those without a cast-iron stomach.
Meat:
While some species are known to be poisonous, there are many more that are safe to eat if you can catch them and prepare the meat properly.
Ink:
Used as a defence mechanism by the animals, the ink glands (Located between the gills) Can be extracted and the ink inside used in lieu of the pigment or dye based variations that are man made. The ink made by cephalopods is generally a deep black. It is most commonly used for writing, but some recipes use the ink as well as the meat of the animal.
Squid
Mobs: Squid
IC Names: Squid
Danger: Low
Squid (Squids if referring to more than one group) are also cephalopods, sharing with octopodes their head-foot body type and eight limbs, but that's where similarities end having a more streamlined shape and a pair of pectoral fins for stability. Squid tend more toward colder regions and live in deeper waters, rarely coming close to the surface.
Squids are generally docile, with very few species being openly aggressive. Easier to hunt and generally less poisonous than octopodes, it doesn’t take quite so much preparation to consume squid.
Big Cats
Mobs: Ocelot
IC Names: Puma, Panthers, Lynx, Ocelot
Danger: Moderate
Cats come in all manner of shapes and sizes, the largest of them are very dangerous but rare. The forbidden lands is best known for the Ocelot that lives in thick jungles. Big cats are known to stalk pray for miles and attack with curved retractable claws that leave marks that, if deep enough, have a very hard time healing on their own. A practiced hand and careful rearing can domesticate them. [Staff Perms Required]
Felines are usually solitary hunters and generally try to avoid people whenever possible. When provoked or hungry big cats are stealthy, lean predators. The larger the cat the more likely it is you have little say on being its next meal.
Pelt:
Assuming you have the skill to properly remove the skin from the dead animal, then treat it, you could make a pelt. Pelts are usually soft and can be used for warm clothing or bedding.
Wolves
Mobs: Wolves
IC Names: Wolves
Danger: Moderate/High
Wolves are common in both the mainlands and the forbidden lands. They are known to attack people and livestock. Most people know that they’re deadly hunters and will avoid woods known to have wolf packs. Even wolves raised by hand are still wild animals and their instincts often lead to attacks and injury. Wolves are generally seen a pests or at worst serious threats. Unlike dogs wolves are larger, with different more aggressive and somewhat dangerous instincts, they take considerable training and rearing to even tolerate people. [Staff Perms Required]
While a solitary wolf is possible to find, generally wolves hunt in packs. It’s not recommended to aggravate wolves. They’re known for shockingly organized attacks, they work as a precise and deadly team. An attacking wolf will often bite for the neck or attempt to use their bulk to knock a person down.
Pelt:
Assuming you have the skill to properly remove the skin from the dead animal, then treat it, you could make a pelt. Pelts are usually soft and can be used for warm clothing or bedding.
Bats
Mobs: Bats
IC Names: Bats, Flying Rats
Danger: Low
Bats aren’t actually very aggressive and really only tend to bite or attack people when people attempt to disrupt their nest to attempt to catch them. Bats are known to cause sickness much like rat and it takes a practiced hand and years of breeding to domesticate or at all tame a bat. [Staff Perms Required]
Bats have little teeth which they use to bite fingers. The largest threat from a bat comes mostly from droppings or the illnesses they’re known to carry.
Corrupted Cattle
Mobs: Mooshrooms
IC Names: ???
Danger: Low
“When Nether clumps around in areas, mushroom biomes come about. It’s basically Nether just screwing with the Aether and killing grass and trees. Mooshrooms are just cows which have adapted to the environment.” - Michelle
Corrupted cattle aren’t terribly dangerous and they’re even more passive than their mushroom free cousins. Corrupted cattle get their name from the rich discoloration resulting from the spores that get matted into their fur and start growing mushrooms. Most people have never seen this type of cattle.
Mushrooms:
A type of Irid Cap grows on the back of the Corrupted cattle. They can be used for the same medicinal purposes as Irid Cap’s that grow in the ground. Do not eat.
Mushroom Soup:
IC it isn’t possible to get soup from a cow.
Beef:
Tastes a bit like mushroom, but still perfectly safe to eat. IG Cows don’t drop anywhere near the amount of meat one would realistically get from such a huge animal. To put it into perspective, a whole butchered cow could literally /fill/ a full sized fridge.
Leather:
Assuming you have the skill to properly remove the skin from the dead animal, and then treat and tan it, any number of uses are available for leather, and its a rather important part of everyday life.
Milk:
You can milk pregnant or new mother cows. The milk is usually a yellow-white cream color. Milk from corrupt cows isn’t very good and while it won't hurt you to drink it’s not suitable for cooking. It tastes a bit like sour milk.
Meat:
While some species are known to be poisonous, there are many more that are safe to eat if you can catch them and prepare the meat properly.

Nether Monsters
These are mobs and monsters that are found, as far as anyone knows, exclusively in the Nether realm. Unless your character was part of the nether events then they’d know nothing of these beasts outside of possible stories from those that have seen the other realm. Gateways to the nether only open in the Forbidden Lands and it is extremely rare.
Undead Pig Men
Mobs: Zombie Pig Men
IC Names: Squealing Zombies, Pig Zombies, Pig Men
Danger: Very High
They walk on two feet, and stand at the height of men, but they have broad flat snouts like that of pigs and the flesh on their bodies rots away from their bones, They’re the undead of the Nether realm but these odd flat-nosed creatures aren’t openly hostile, they generally ignore the people of the middle unless provoked. Harming one of the pig men sends them into a frenzy of squeals that alerts others in the area, all of whom will focus in and attack the aggravator.
Pigmen are extremely dangerous as they’re possibly as smart or skilled as men and act largely as the primary foot soldiers for the Nether realm. They work in groups, and can effectively wield their weapons and counter assaults against them. They also have all the advantages of being undead as they do not feel pain, and cannot easily be dispatched without severing their head or destruction of their skull.
Pork:
When the pigman dies it’s flesh is left behind, and in the hot netherrealm, smells much like that of the swine they so closely resemble. Eating the body of a Pigman is vile and not recommended.
Random Items:
No one has ever seen a living pigman but given the undead ones function much like people, its thought they likely carry around everyday items they use, so its possible its body or pockets may retain items from having been so. These items range from old weapons, armor, carrots, potatoes, gold, Iron and tools.
Fire Whirls
Mobs: Blazes
IC Names: Fire Whirls, Blazes, Flame spirits
Danger: Very High
Blazes appeared like fire and brimstone in a tornado and given life. They can be confusing to see and at first possibly not recognised as sentient life until of course it starts to chase and attack. The fire whirls are naturally aggressive and very dangerous.
They don’t seem very intelligent, but will chase after it’s foes, spitting fire and stone as they do so. Touching a fire whirl is near impossible given their is little to nothing to them. It is however possible to break them apart but doing so will usually result in serious burns from both its body and it’s attacks.
Blaze Rod:
The bodies of the Fire Whirls, sometimes end up undamaged leaving a golden rod behind. There isn’t any known use for these. IC these are not used in potion creation.
Ghosts
Mobs: Ghasts
IC Names: Ghosts, spirits
Danger: Very High
Ghosts are great floating beasts of soft white flesh with varying tentacles and a harsh unearthly cries. They hover high in the air in the Nether realm and are some of the most devastating foes to seep from the dark realm.
These beasts are extraordinarily dangerous as they can spew forth projectiles that burst when hitting the ground with explosive and fiery force. Ghosts are deadly in most encounters and its not recommended to engage one, for any reason. Fleeing is almost always the best option.
Sulfur:
If killed the ghost can drop sulfur which is used by explosive engineers. The risk doesn’t really justify the reward.
Tear Crystals:
The teardrop shaped crystals dropped by the ghosts don’t serve any purpose but they are very pretty and rare. During peace times these can be worth a great deal of money. IC it isn’t used in any sort of potions.
Magma Slime
Mobs: Magma Cube
IC Names: Fire Slimes, Lava blob, Magma Slime
Danger: Very High
It seems even the nether isn’t devoid of slimes. The slimes however that live here have a dark, hardened skin with a core of magma that can be seen as the hardened plates that make up its outer shell move and break apart as it moves.
Much like regular slimes, magma slimes will break apart when cut into, but can be crushed and killed once small enough. Magma slimes are incredibly hot to the touch, and will burn and seer skin with their intense heat instead of the digestive enzymes their other realm cousins possess.
Magma Cream:
No one really knows what purpose the strange residue left by the magma slimes can serve. So far not many have ever come in contact with it, and even less have ever tried to do anything with it. IC it isn’t used in any sort of potions.

Notes:
Creepers don't exist at all on our server. Witches, Wither skeletons, Wither bosses, Dragons and the rest have never been encountered IC and while lore may be released for them at some point, right now, they don’t exist. Though there is legend of dragons just like IRL.
