Hello!
It's already April 2023. I have intended for these little letters to show up at the start of every month but life haven't been too kind for a bit and I haven't been able to get proper started. I hope from now on it will be possible. These letters are meant to feature news and current status of events for Mesalia-RP. All from roleplay-wise to technical matters. So lets begin...

Minecraft version 1.19.3
We have as of April 1st moved to Minecraft 1.19.3. We have also moved back to Paper after having needed to use regular Spigot for a bit. Paper should improve performance and we will be testing it out along with testing of all the plugins now after the update. It is possible that we will be able to save some costs on RAM as past memory-leak problems seem to have been solved as well.

As usual, any bugs are to be reported if you prefer to see them fixed. Keep in mind that the server's Resource Pack might be having issues as well, but aside from the version handling there shouldn't be any issues.

There ARE issues with the communication between Discord and the server. This is, obviously, most likely due to the most recent changes to Discord. This will hopefully be fixed soon.

In-character summer
The in-character summer is finaly here after a long spring. This spring saw the nearby mercenary band Bloody Skulls' leader Commander Amnas Uthradurn return from campaign on the Mainland, bringing back the local blacksmith Zaira Duras-Stengar as well. Their return were quite turbulent however as they found the local trade ship The Emerald Tide sunk at the river's inlet. The culprit being none other than Captain Morris of the Bloody Skulls, of course, as the locals very quickly figured out. And after trying to confront and capture Morris, and failing to do so, the townsfolk of Valour are now recovering and planing their next move...
Over the past few months the settlement has finaly been named by the locals: Valour. Per tradition, this means that the map is now also named Valour.

Hello!

It is November already. I'd like to thank everyone that took part in the event that started around the 21st of October. The event was a blast and can probably be considered one of the best, if not the best, event that we have ever had. A great success! All possible due to all you great roleplayers.

The aftermath of the event is still ongoing and will be noticeable for some time, of course. All a sign of a good event and great roleplay. Once the staff considers it done with and a good time, the season will be just about moving into spring for our characters. Currently we haven't been too picky with changing the season per month since we have already prolonged the summer once. We'll land back at what we're used to soon enough, what matters most right now for us is that we get done what we feel we want to get done without stress. With spring we can expect the return of a few characters! More fun to look forward to.

November means people are now going to start to get more busy. Roleplay might slow down for a bit up till after the new year, as usual. All to be expected.

There are possible problems with package loss, the event was held up a bit due to connection issues. Please report if you notice lag or struggle to keep connected to the server.

Currently there are no plans for any maintenance before the new year due to how busy I'll be.

See y'all in-game.
On Monday TUESDAY we're doing a more rare one than server maintenance! FORUM maintenance! The hours are as usual for Monday maintenances.

As you might have noticed, I'm trying to keep to a schedule and plan the times you can expect there to be access issues to the server or the forum. This is also to ensure more constant progress on all planes rather than see myself stuck at so much to do that I get stunned by the lists.
The forum needs less attention than the server. But I'll be trying to keep at least one forum maintenance or work-period (in case of just adding content) per month from here on.
March's forum maintenance will focus on:
- Version update.
Inspired by this success, other crews joined together in Grey Water Bay until raids were over a dozen longships strong, and whose targets got larger and larger. Soon enough, other settlements began to follow their example, making their way to other areas of the Mainland’s deep south and returning with all varieties of plunder to help sustain their fledgling nation of city states.
