Do "ALL" of the old farming rules still apply, or are we starting clean?

All of the old "rules" not mentioned in the floodplains announcement post will stay the same, including the one week crop cycle. Any changes are effective immediately and retroactively. Are there any specific questions on this?

In the final days of the Auria map, it was added that at the end of each year, the soil must be let to settle. I was wondering if the flood plains and their magical properties would dismiss this.
