About You: Some of you may know me, some of you may not. I’ve had three characters on the server, I don’t remember their names, but I do remember one was a golem. That’s about it.

Appearance: Gerrick is a preteen, because of this, he hasn’t had time to develop and this can easily be seen. He is very short and thin. He has blue eyes and long, dirty, blond hair that almost goes past his eyes. He has a very fair skin, which is most likely why he wears layers in the heat.
Personality: Gerrick is very shy and quiet, he isn’t much of the conversation type, many could say he is dangerously too quiet. He isn’t mute however and if he’s comfortable with a person, he could talk you up for hours. He is a very loyal boy to say the least, he’s the last person you’d expect to stab someone in the back, literally. Gerrick is afraid of people with Xitian or Lucian characteristics, he’s heard stories of the war of Veld and the powers of the two respective races and is currently terrified to come in the path of a pissed off Xitian or Lucian. Because of that, he usually doesn’t associate with them too often.
Backstory: Gerrick was born in a small village named Lochton (pronounced Lock-ten). Lochton was a mostly poverty-stricken villa on the outskirts of a large city, Droft. Droft was a luxurious city, full of different types of people. Most of which, looked down are the inhabitants of Lochton. Lochton was once considered a part of Droft, but, like most of the other villages that surrounded Droft during the War of Veld, Xitians convinced, with blackmail and threats of destruction, the inhabitants of the villages to siege the city of Droft in an attempt by the Xitians to capture the city. After the Lucians came to aid the Mesalians, the warfare ruined the beauty of the villages and left them in what they look today, shambles.
Gerrick was lucky enough to not have to experience the War of Veld. His family however, wasn’t. Gerrick’s grandfather was a man of wealth, living in a high class neighborhood in Droft. Unfortunately, when Xitians sieged the city, they slaughtered all of Gerrick’s family except his father, who escaped and made his way throughout the city of Droft until he settled in Lochton where he met Gerrick’s mother. Gerrick’s birth improved his father’s morale for a short moment, until he drank himself to death. Gerrick does not remember his father.
Gerrick’s mother tried to raise her only son, but she soon met a traveler and feared that he wouldn’t be attracted to a woman that wasn’t pure. Gerrick’s mother went into the city of Droft and left Gerrick in a basket in the middle of a crowded market. Gerrick has no recollection of the incident.
Gerrick wasn’t in the basket for long. A poor teenager named Robert found Gerrick minutes after his mother left him. He raised him to the best of his ability. He told him stories that he’d heard about in the streets of Droft, of a war that happened between blue eyed and red eyed beings, and often asked Gerrick if he possessed the power that the “blue eyers” did. Gerrick didn’t.
Gerrick and Robert never really had a home. They lived on the streets and as Gerrick got older, Robert taught him how to steal food and clothes and the art of acrobatics. Gerrick’s small body was perfect for stealth and speed throughout the city of Droft. Robert wasn’t always fond to Gerrick however. He actually called him, Orphan, until they found a painting of a man walking who appeared to be sneaking. The painting was signed by local artist Gerrick Rey, after the discovery, Robert called Gerrick by the name he is known as now.
The City of Droft has been slowly rebuilding after the War of Veld. The King of Droft made it clear that he would not be providing any type of rebuilding efforts for the neighboring villages of Droft, due to their involvement in the War of Veld. The neighboring villages quickly became angry and banded together and launched several attacks on what was already a ailing city.
Robert and Gerrick heard of boats heading towards a forbidden land where they could start new lives, drowning in riches and living in the big, high-class homes. They made their way for the boats, but in order to do that, they had to travel through a riot. There were many fatalities, one of which, was Gerrick’s good friend Robert. Depressed with the lost of the only piece of family he had left gone, Gerrick fleed for the Forbidden Lands, hoping to start a new life in honor of his bestfriend.
Capabilities: Acrobatics – Advanced; Ever since he was a small child, he has been fleeing town guards and woo’s anyone with his ability at such a young age.
Sneaking – Advanced; Like his skill in Acrobatics, Gerrick has been sneaking and stealing since he was a small child. He’s had years of practice.
Theft – Advanced; Gerrick is a thief, always has been, but will he always be?
Items: Gerrick has nothing but the clothes on his back. A long robe with a hood to protect his fair skin that is battered to hell, tan trousers that look like they’ve been grabbed out of an ocean and shoes that are a little too small for his feet.
Additional Comments: I hope to start Gerrick out as some sort of a project yaknow? Bad kid gone good? He’s already a great thief, but eventually, he’ll need someone in the forbidden lands to take him in and teach him the skills to be law-abiding citizen.
