I am amused at the instant-thinking that pink fluffy unicorns that dance on rainbows is seen as a positive image. What if they were actually the horses of the apocalypse? The color pink could have been a chemical that seeped into their fur, causing it to grow to an abnormal length. The dance is a dance of death and doom, and being able to dance on a -rainbow- just means they have super control over the light spectrum, being half incorporeal.
Unicorns aren't always good happy things.
