Even a woman I have to be careful of. She seems kind but she also has threatened me with jail should I continue to walk into homes and take things. If I don't take from each home how will I ever know which home is which?

The first person I met in town. he taught me the name of Ravenna and a few other words. He didn't seem to enjoy talking with me, I think he believes I'm an idiot.

This crab frustrates me to no end. I know of darkness and loss in him. He claims he doesn't want to hurt or arrest me. but he is still a guard. I've been tricked and badly hurt by guards before... I just don't know what to think of his words. I want to trust him but I know that can never happen.

A man of the earth, just as I am a woman of the hunt. I think he'd fit in well with the ko'ban people if he just had a bit more of a spine for fighting. I shared food with him. He seemed friendly, though quiet. But that maybe just him not able to understand what it is I'm saying...

Jak has my true name and uses it freely. I have accidently hurt him, and scared his face when he touched without asking first. I had warned him, but it seems he's accepted his mistake and still wishes my friendship. I enjoy our talks, he seems to genuinely want to get to know me, and has never cast judgment on my actions. Strange a man of sea can relate so easily to me. I cannot sleep with him around though, When he exhausts himself and sleeps in my tent I must go out and hunt, and rest when he leaves in the morning... I don't think he's noticed.
