In medieval times a master mason was often skilled in architecture, of course they would still talk to architects but they would be skilled in that topic as well. Considering she has been working on masonry for almost 3 decades now I would definitely say she is advanced in architecture. Unless you only meant the hauling, in which case this was a rather unnecessary paragraph.
The issue actually has more to do with your character’s master masonry. While staff agree that your character may have worked and studied under this field enough to warrant ‘master’, ‘master’ implies that the character has a very wide range of knowledge in the field. For instance, a master in sword combat would know how to react to almost any situation, whether their opponent(s) wield something familiar like a sword, or something obscure like a kusarigama. When this kind of theory is applied to masonry, your character would be able to deal with many kinds of stone architecture and construction, from general European-style homes to obscure Roman-style amphitheatres. Currently, your character’s backstory doesn’t support this level of experience, as nothing states or implies she would’ve been exposed to a variety of buildings, both familiar and obscure. And while masonry is closely related to architecture, not all architecture is relevant to masonry. Hence, I recommended you take the masonry down to ‘expert’ (which is more than enough experience to do her job well), and the architecture down to ‘competent’(which is also enough).
Other than that, there are a just a few minor issues left.
1. “A book of her gathered knowledge on masonry and architecture to refer to for ideas when she needs them.”
This requires more detail - is it a notebook of sorts, or a something similar to a textbook? Please clarify/elaborate.
2. Your application doesn’t include the following section from the whitelist application format:
“Tell us a bit about yourself:
Just give us a general overview of who you are and what you like to do/don't like to do.”
Believe it or not, this section is important as we like to get to know our new members. Please include it.
And that should be all. Good luck. Again, if something isn’t clear, feel free to ask.
