In Game Name(IGN):
Syncristo

Why do you want to join?
I’ve been thinking of Mesalia ever since I quit two years ago. I went by Jammie back then. I just couldnt’ play because of school and my overwhelming schedule, but now everything has freed up, and I just think the place I started to roleplay in Minecraft would be the best one to come back to.

Do you have any RP'ing experience?
Yes, I used to roleplay with my friends in World of Warcraft, and I roleplayed on Minecraft for three years, two of which were on this Server.

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I am a sixteen year old sophomore in the USA.

Your Character Biography:
Name: Fain Alevi
Occupation: Farmer/ Doctor
Age: 30 when he steps foot on the Forbidden Lands
Appearance: Fain is a light-haired, blue-eyed Mesalian. He has gotten a tan from working outside most of his life. He stands at 5’11” and weighs 175 pounds. His hair is long and normally wears a cap to protect him from the sun. He wears black and white clothes.

It was five years after Veld when Lyonis Alevi met Beth Vitalis in the village of Luton. Lyonis was nineteen, and Beth was sixteen when they had first met. Lyonis was tending his father’s farm when he saw the beautiful young lady walk by. He was staring, eyes bulging out and mouth watering in the sight of the girl. She looked straight at him, smiling, but it caught him by surprise so he looked down and continued to work the land. The next day, young Mr. Alevi was sent to buy goods in the village for his father’s farm. When he arrived there he went straight to the apple stand. His usual pattern was to get the apples when he was on his way out, but for some reason he decided to break his pattern. He spotted the perfect apple and he stuck out his hand to get it, and when he did a smooth, elegant hand went right on top of his. He looked up and to his amazement it was the girl he had saw the day before. They began to talk, and with his luck, got married a year later. Twenty days after that, Lyonis’ father passed away. He gave the farm and everything he owned to Lyonis. Lyonis’ life would all change nine months later when Lyonis and Beth had a smiling young baby, Fain.

Fain Alevi began work on the farm at the age of seven. He was tasked with collecting the wheat, carrots, potatoes, and going to the market to get supplies. He always had a smile on his face and brought out the good qualities of people. Everytime he went to the village he would make it his task to meet someone new and get to know them a little. If anyone asked him for help he would find a solution using everything he had. Also, every week he would participate in worship of the various Pantheon gods. He met many people this way. This is how he met his two friends Lo and Aquilles. He spent the night time with them in the village, now a town. learning how to read from Aquilles and write from Lo. Lo was a scrawny eight year old whose father was the captain of Luton’s guard and long friend of Fain’s father. Aquilles was an intelligent nine year old whose father was the local doctor and saw potential in Fain.

Three years passed from the day Fain started to work on his father’s farm. Lo, Aquilles, and Fain became great friends. Lo was trained by his father to become a guardsmen, Aquilles studied with his father, and Fain studied every night about the art of farming. One day, Aquilles and his father came over to the Alevi’s house. Mr. Jaque, Aquille’s dad, asked Mister and Misses Alevi if their son could come be his assistant. They were reluctant, but Mr. Jaque kept saying that he had potential and he would be paid once a month. The Alevi’s let Fain go, and with an eager smile on his face Fain left with the Jaques to begin his training.

He spent five long years working as an assistant of Mr. Jaque. Everyday consisted of waking up, going to the market to buy medical supplies, looking for ill people around town, eating lunch, studying, and finally going back to sleep. Fain loved the job, but it just consumed his life to the point where he couldn’t take it anymore. He wanted to go back to the peaceful ways of farming. He told Mr. Jaque that he was leaving. Aquilles tried to make him stay, but he was already out of the building before he could say anything. Fain stashed his study books in his bags, thinking maybe they would have a use some day.

Two years later, Lo’s parents came over to the Alevi’s house without an invite. Fain was working in the fields and saw them walking to his house. They told him that they think that either Lo has ran away or he was murdered dealing with the goons in the next town over. They asked if he would come with them to the town to find out what happened to Lo. He said yes, speaking for his self now, and they went to the town.

Fain asked everyone he saw if they had seen Lo, describing him perfectly to everyone. He didn’t get an answer until the fifteenth person he asked. The man that answered was a shady character, not showing his face. He was called by everyone Arson. He was the gang leader of the town and he told Fain that Lo was dealt with for the killing of his two closest men, and that Fain should run as fast as he could away from this place. Arson had plans to get rid of Mr. Alevi. Fain told his best friend’s parents and they immediately left. Fain couldn’t sleep well for the next seven years of his life, for he feared for his life. “Arson was so powerful”, Fain often thought.,“He’s going to kill me just life Lo.”

Mr. Alevi was the town’s main farmer now, after his father passing away the year before. He wasn’t troubled by it because everyone has to run their course, that is what he said. Crime had increased in the town, and the guard was working everyday to improve it. Fain thought that he wouldn’t be touched for he had no enemies. Obviously he had at least one, for a week after he turned twenty-eight a portion of his farm was destroyed by fire. He asked the guard if they knew anything about it, but the did not know who or what it could be. Then, he remembered the man who he met looking for Lo. Arson. But how could he set fire to his farm without anyone having a trace of him? Fain began to read every book of the Xitians he could get his hands on. He finally put the pieces together. Arson was a Xitian. He knew this for sure. Fain finally knew what hate is. Arson probably killed his closest friend, and now he was attacking Fain’s land and family. Terrible things were sure to come.

And come they did. ten months later his mother was taken from the house. He found her two days later in the farm naked and beaten to death. All Fain could do was fall to his knees and cry. The first tears he had ever shed because of hatred. He brought himself back to his feet over the next two months.

He prayed for the first time one night, trying to restore his happy nature. He said ‘If there is anyone out there please listen to me. I just need hope that someday, all of my former happiness will come back. I’m just asking if you could push me in the right direction. Thank you.’ He did not know when his happiness would come back, or if it ever would. But, it was worth the shot. Arson didn’t think so highly of it.

Three months had passed since his prayer, and Fain thought everything was good. He was terribly wrong. Arson sent twenty of his best men to make chaos at the Alevi farm. Lo’s father and his nine men were quick to the scene after seeing fire burn in the fields. They put up a fight to give Fain time to gather his things and catch the next boat to the Forbidden Lands. Fain went to his room, gathered ten books each for farming and medicine, clothes, and seeds from each plant he had. Most of Lo’s father’s men were no match for the paid ruffians, for they were killed rather quickly. Lo’s father was one of three that were actually putting up a fight. It was now three to a big twelve. When one man broke open an opposing helmet, Fain caught sight of a familiar face. It was Lo. Lo looked straight into Fain’s eyes and turned away. His father went to strike him without knowing who he was, and stopped mid-swing.

“Lo?” He asked. “Why are you doing this?”

“Why everyone else is doing something. Money.” Lo replied.

“But... you were killed.” The father said.

“This is wrong. Arson just trained me to be his best man.” Lo remarked.

Without hesitation Lo thrusted his sword straight through his father’s chest, killing him instantly. Fain began to run toward the harbor while his best friend was killed by the two men that were still fighting. He glanced back once, only to see his house burst into flames. He had to start over. Everyone on the ship did. It took them nine months to sail to the Forbidden Lands, and on his journey there he learned how to be happy again. He smiled for the first time since his mother’s death only a week into the journey. Life would be better there...

Personality:
Fain’s parents taught him at a very young age to never have people start on his bad side because they wanted him to be sociable when he grew up. Every morning he wakes up, eats an apple to get himself going, and puts a smile on his face. He loves to have a good impact on people, and something so small as smiling most of the time can do that. This is because he thinks people need to be happier than sad. The only people that Fain is reluctant to talk to are women because he only had one female in his life growing up. If it is anyone else, Fain can start up a conversation very well, and he often asks the people he is talking to if they need any help. He tries to help everyone with their problems, even if he knows he can’t. He tells his closest friends everything ranging from what happened in his dream last night to his embarrassments. It is hard for him to keep dates for events in his head, but he refuses to write them down. This makes it very rare to see Mr. Alevi at any party. He has ton of respect, he respects people that go out of their way to help others, people that have their secrets, and people that talk to him first. If Fain is told something that the person doesn’t want anyone to find out about he keeps it to himself because he believes that if people have secrets they should be kept a secret. He often is reluctant to be talked about in a good way, saying that other people’s deed are as good as his. This is because while growing up on a farm he was taught to think of people the same as you, or better than you.
