As was the case with every single other member of her hometown, Mitty hated being on a ship. The rocking and lurching of the vessel made her sick to no end, and every single time of the few times that she had to travel by ship for one of her trips to the other settlements, she fell horribly ill. The only consolation for this particular trip was that she might see some familiar faces, hopefully her nephew and niece, and relax a bit before she had to return to the mainland.
Ever since she drew the short straw and made 'diplomat' of her town, she was sent every so often to other towns and cities to establish trade routes and gather news of the outside world for the secluded town of Linedia. The recent events of dragons being about and amok meant that the town was kept busy enough, but when news of dragons turning up in the Forbidden Lands as well, the busybees of Linedia saw more opportunities to work, and tasked Mitty with establishing some sort of work/trade agreement with the settlements there.
She knew one of their own was working out in the town of Nightveil, and so started off for the town with her old trusty hammer Mattenshire, her tools, and some more junk to keep her entertained during the trip.
