At last, Nerissa says goodbye. Her and her family leaves Nightveil shortly after the Elder has returned.
I don't really have any story here, it has been a long time coming and have been planed for months. It was just a matter of the right time and letting some certain events take place first to assure a not too strange or sudden transition.
Does Nerissa say goodbye? To a selected few perhaps. Nerissa has not had any close friends unless you count Zarkaylia. She has always been a bit of a unique cookie and was never meant as a long-term character. She always cared mostly about herself and was for the most part perfectly fine with the company of her family or just herself. I've not really had the opportunity or time to develop deeper bonds with others for her the last year or so.
Why does she leave? There'd be several reasons. Ranging from family related to not really connecting with the other townsfolk I think will do.
Is this permanent? Yes.
Where's she going? She'd not say and I don't know either. I'm not invested or interested in trying to figure more out for her I'm afraid.
Any questions? Ask me in PM or Skype.
Final words:
Nerissa started off well, very well, and always had many development options. She was interesting to play in the way that in contrary to mainly Zarkaylia she was narcissistic and yet a carefree criminal. She was broken early on and recovered quite well, eventually. She got to discover all sorts of things from betraying a loved one to begrudgingly raising a child. She was based on a past character I once played called Jolene but was fundamentally very different. Further, when I created her I made a point to make her story as trouble-free as I could. I tried to prove I could make a good character without needing any traumatic event or sad story in her background story.
Nerissa fulfilled and exceeded her purpose. But ultimately stagnated one last time and I feel I can't get her moving again without so drastic and significant changes they'd be a bit out of character and contradicting to her development so far.
Thus... Nerissa Clark of the clan Tharmon is now a closed chapter.
