Why do you want to join?
I want to join because this is the only mature and serious server that I could find, and I did not know what to do in other servers.

Do you have any RP'ing experience?
I watch plenty of videos and have a creative imagination. I may not act in scenes at school, but I improvise to the topic in mind. I put out in arguments and think wisely about decisions being made in-game and out.(Currently I'm on a forum game based on voting decisions in a fiction story - It's called Survival - The Sequel to Werewolves by iCaramelbird)

Tell us a bit about yourself:
I am from the Philippines but unfortunately don't speak its language because I was brought up as a Christian in the middle east. I am currently in the last year of my British Syllabus High School, so you will hardly see me using internet slang. I draw as a hobby, and I'm experienced with playing sandbox, FPS shooter and MMORPG games.

Your Character Biography:
My character name: Will Rosalin. He is a freelancer of the New World, 32 years after the war of Veld. Within these years, he had been communing with the people in training on the mainland. During the war of veld, since he was a child of five, his family lived under the oppression of the ruling Xitians, when the Lucins had not discovered this camp.

It was the thirty-fifth (the town they were in was nowhere close to the portal, at the opposite side of the Mainland) year since the closing of the Celestial Portal, and the family staved off hunger by exhausting laborious work. It was within the last five years the cursed Xitians grew ever more cold towards their slaves. It was as if they ruled the world as kings, and that nobody lived to oppose them.

Like a typical child, Will grew unserious about the guards, he did not realise he was leading himself to death. One Xitian guard stood in front of a food shack. He gracefully asked him to play around with him. The Xitian shoved him away with a ferocious look. It was then, another child of similar age came towards the guard. This child, appearing to be constantly crying and covering her eyes with her hands, came down to her knees and implored the Xitian at his feet. Suddenly, she immediately stopped weeping beyond the guard's view. What Will saw was nothing he had ever seen before with another race - her eyes glowed weak blue instead of red. Her head slightly twitched towards the shack.

Fascinated at what she was doing, Will silently crept inside, and took some morsels. The girl still knelt, head-bowed, as the guard kept attempting to kick her away. As soon as Will rapidly ran out behind the Xitian, the girl turned around bowed-headed and face-covered to avoid facing anyone and ran, continuing to flood the ground with her tears.

Will returned to his family holding handfuls of morsels. Ironically, his mother was horrified at this, 'Son, what have you done? You've taken a noticeable amount of food, I fear the guards may be looking at our tent at any moment!.'

Will cried, apologized and wondered again how the girl constantly wept to distract the guard. He knew the direction she wept off to, so he tracked down water stains on the ground the next day. A guard noticed Will wandering, saying, 'Child, you are in a restricted area, leave now.'

He answered dramatically, 'I must use an outhouse somewhere!'

'Only your masters and us Xitians are allowed to use those. Begone!'

Will ran, trying to look as desperate as possible, while keeping an eye down to the darkened dirt. He heard a familiar crying, and explored the more embroidered and larger tents. He found the same girl at a distance, inside her tent and behind conversing guards. He picked up a stray, wooden and miniature wagon and dragged it towards the tent. The nearby guards didn't suspect the working stranger in the area.

Will jumped into the tent and behind the side of the entrance curtain. Strangely, he couldn't breathe for a second until he settled down. A woman, face underneath thick black robes, shouted in horror, but the girl still in tears, managed to calm her down.

'What is this tramp doing in our home?!'

'Mother, don't be upset, this is the child whom I have helped to get food.'

'Alright. Check if there are any nearby patrols.'

The girl and Will peeked beyond the opening, and no guards were seen (it was at dusk). When they assured the woman, she lifted her veil, revealing her bright and glowing cerulean eyes. As well, her daughter immediately stopped weeping and eyes stopped glowing, revealing the same eye colour as well.

'Yes, Will, we are Lucins. The reason we were not trapped in the Portal, is because this family fared along the conquering of land before our King was murdered. For 30 years and before my daughter's birth, my family sheltered in Mesalian cellars, and we rarely venture outside to search for food. Then, two years ago, there was not enough supplies for myself and my daughter, so we managed to hitch on to slave caravans (we went underneath them to avoid detection), travelling across the continent for several months (we survived as they paused, sneaking some morsels from their supply) upto here. We came across a very wealthy Mesalian who was taking up a slave master's position. We confessed being Lucin to him, hoping he would find a way to bring us out of here. However, he was willing to take them in as his "slaves", since he wanted this Xitian rule to end. He thinks is much more safer than straying outside. We hesitated, but we had no choice. This lasted for a year, and nobody besides our master knows about our presence here.'

Will answered, 'Then why did you choose to tell me?'

'That is because the times my daughter had helped Mesalians collect food from the shacks, no one ever dared follow us here. You've noticed how my daughter has been constantly weeping tears. She has a minor ability to control water vapour and make it appear as tears upon her face. You had the curiosity and courage to track this family. Our slave master has been gone for a while, and we cannot stay like this much longer. You are the only Mesalian so far that we could trust.'

'Can't I tell my mother and father about you?'

'No, they would never believe you. However, you would attract the guard's attention outside the tent, so it is better not to tell anyone else.'

'How cannot the guards from outside this tent not hear any of you?'

'Using our power, we created a space without air surrounding our tent. Notice how you could not breathe as soon as you entered, and how my eyes still glow. Not a single object fiddled in this tent was heard outside. If a guard comes, one of us can feel it in the air outside, so we disguise ourselves again. Now, we still have to wait, since there is nothing to think about that could get us away.'

'Where is your father?'

'Well... We don't know. He said last time that he could serve in a resistance somewhere to protect the Lucin remnants. He told us to find him whenever we see an army of Lucins raiding the nearest town. That was why he didn't come with us here.'

Will was then wondering where their slave master had gone to, so he peeked out the tent once more in curiosity. The girl felt someone incoming, and shouted at Will, 'No don't!' But it was too late.

Will's eyes met two patrolling guards, and they realised he did not belong in that area. The mother quickly pulled over her dark veil, and her daughter continued her imaginary weeping. It was a matter of seconds to think of an excuse to Will's appearance in the area. Suddenly they pulled Will out of the tent, and yelled at him, 'What are you doing here after curfew?'

The mother defended him, 'H-he made friends with my daughter, and he came here because - '

'I do not care what thou say, this boy is trespassing.'

Will cried, 'No! I don't want to leave yet! Please have mercy!'

'No, you will be punished for this crime!'

In defeat, Will followed the guards back to his own tent. The girl implored her mother, 'Mother we must do something!'

'No, we must wait.'

'B-but they'll kill him!'

'Our safety is more important than a single boy's life. I'm sorry.'

The girl's eyes stopped glowing and cried real tears. She violently pulled her blanket over her vision. Her mother stroked her, but she turned away in anger. "When you grow up, you will learn what is best to decide in a lifetime.'

Meanwhile, Will's parents were rudely awakened to see the bitter face of Will. The soldier stated, 'This son of yours is to be whipped for trespassing.' The parents begged to spare a five-year-old son, but the soldiers insisted.

Thus, the father says, 'Don't punish my son, but punish me instead, for I raised him like this.'

'Very well, your son will be spared, but you will pay his price tomorrow morning.'

Will ran to his father's arms and wept. 'Father don't do this!'

'I'm sorry son, but something must be done about your action. It is the law. We can't do anything about it.' Will slept in his father's arms, fiercely blaming himself for what he did to his dear family.

Next morning, crowds gathered around a blood-stained pillar at the local citadel courtyard, with large heavy chains. Xitian centurions and knights were present. Will and his mother stood behind the jeering congregation of slaves and masters. Will's father could be seen with a spearhead pricking his bony back. Several knights held barbed whips.

A centurion addressed the crowd, 'Here stands a slave who takes up the burden of his son's crime. He shall be brought to justice!' They enclosed his wrists with the chains of the pillar, and torn away his shirt.

Will could not bare the pain his father is about to take in. It was until he noticed the Lucin girl and mother behind the crowd, watching hopelessly.

They prepared the whips, they surrounded him. The Xitians lit their blood-red eyes and whips on fire. They controlled the dirt ground to encase his feet. People around continued their jeering, whereas others watched silently.

Before one of the guards was able to land a first hit a commotion sounded beyond the parting crowd. The town crier exclaimed at his highest voice, 'The portal has opened! The Lucins are coming!'

Then the centurions replied, 'Impossible! Guard the gates! Do everything you can to stop them!'

Suddenly, gusts of wind were felt in the air, and became increasingly strong. Loud shouts of euphoria rose from audience, and they became scattered everywhere. The soldiers and centurions left the slave and gathered into a battalion and marched towards the town gates. Will ran with his mother towards his father, and soon, the Lucin girl and her mother joined them.

The girl exclaimed, 'Are you alright?'

Will replied with tears, 'Yes, I'm glad to see my father saved! Quick, we should go!'

The sky was then engulfed in the struggle between cannonballs of fire and rock, and dancing streams of water and hailing ice shards. Soon, the fires extinguished and the earth descended. Gushes of wind flowed from the gate along with battle cries being risen by the crowds, and the Xitians cowered into the courthouses. Several warrior Lucins and armored Mesalians marched into the court, fending off the remaining Xitians. Will and his family were ordered by the Lucin to follow the rest of the slaves towards the gates. However, the girl and the mother chose to go in the other direction.

'Where are you going?'

'Looking for my father somewhere...'

'Hey. I didn't get your name yet.'

'Eleanor Godwin. Farewell, Will,' and they left immediately beyond the movement. Will's family was taken to the nearest Lucin-recovered town, which appeared to be a the largest in the local region. They were sent straight to a refugee camp. Will longed to see Eleanor again, because she was his only friend at that time.

The life Will lived was only slightly different than his slave life, only to replace the storming Xitians with friendly Lucins, and plenty of food provisions. He met several other children like him, which he thought would substitute the absence of Eleanor. It lasted for five years until the long war ended with the sealing of the Dusk Portal. Everyone was instantly told to transfer to accommodate as citizens in the villages, owning professions etc.

Will studied in a Lucin school to learn the basic teachings of science, histories and lores, before graduating at the seventh year after the war. He professed in shopkeeping to raise money for the family, meanwhile learning the items he bought and sold off. In his free time, he scribbled on scraps of paper what he remembered of Eleanor at the camp, adding cerulean blue colour from lapis dye - a rare ore commodity in the middle realm, which did not last in the market for so long.

Three years have passed, and civil wars in the Mainland broke out. The Mesalians now feared the greedy minds of their own kind. Raids and riots were held across towns and villages in search of money and liberty. The rest of the Mesalians were ordered to stay inside locked households or cellars. Explosives and weapons material were modified constantly to induce more fatal wounds, hardly survivable. Lucins bothered more about finding the rumored Xitian remnants that caused the nation-wide confusion. Because of these wars, Will's family was forced to move to the countryside.

For the remaining 20 years, Will recollected with his friends in a small village. This village specialised in wilderness trade - harvesting crops, herbs, gathering fur and teeth to selling to the nearby towns. Will earned money from local shopkeeping, though less pay than what he earned from the city. On free time, however, he and his friends trekked around the forest wilderness and sparred using the blades they newly forged. Will learnt his combat/survival skills this way, as well as hunting down animals and living off the cold nights with nothing but several small blades and flint.

As soon as he was 38 years, he decided to venture out, but not in the Mainland as he knew it, but in the Forbidden Continent. He had a strange feeling that Eleanor would be present there, safe from the civil wars here. He took several utilities and bid farewell to his family and friends. He and others boarded a boat designated to the Land. Although there appeared a large storm overhead, Will felt confident - he favors the rain.

Character Skills:
-Apprentice Climbing - The countryside is mountaineous, he could climb slopes of rough rock but not so steep mountain borders. He takes each grasping step slowly but carefully, though sometimes he treads quickly if he cannot bear patience at circumstance. As support, he carries a stave to guide his steps.
-Novice Lore and History - Learnt in Lucin scholastics
Lore - He mostly is taught by local worshipers of the orthodox pantheon existing in the Realm. He thoroughly remembers the High God Isohel and Goddess Sulena, and their symbols and animals. Yet, he refuses to worship any of them until he further finds out the truth in the creation and signs of their existence (miracles, complexity) - He is an agnostic (not sure if he believes Gods existed or not)
History - His knowledge of the Mainland dates back towards the enslavement before the War of Veld, since there were scarce amount of past records to be found. However, he is taught of the progression of the War, such as Lucin advancement from the Portal to its strategic regions in the Mainland, as well as locations of towns and their relations with the Lucins (independently Mesalian/an outpost/a colony etc.).
-Apprentice Hunting - Confident with using staves or spears. Will prefers hunting large and quite fearsome animals in the wild, as if they make easy targets to jab his spear or strike down upon with a stave.
-Competent Survival - Routine treks around the wilderness, prepared in self preservation, will always carry three utility blades crucial for remaining alive - occasionally includes a spear for hunting food.

Current Personality:
Will likes social conversations with basically anyone, including the other races. However, negative approaches from others (for example, someone publicly ridiculing Will) result in a period of patience until being threatened to a fight. Will prefers to use non-lethal weapons (like sturdy sticks) for self defence. He does not finish his adversary off, but walks away in ignorance.
Will is optimistic, though he treads challenges carefully. He is more focused in his actions rather than speaking with others, so he can be irritably pre-occupied. Nevertheless, under any circumstance, he protects whoever he favors for, silently.
In free time, he draws with quill on extra pieces of paper. Otherwise, in crowded areas he lets himself into the conversations of other people. In a way, Will is a social fanatic, yet he wouldn't think of other things to do.

Character build:
Whitish peach-skinned, 5'8 feet tall, weighs 60 kg,
Mildly muscle built
Pompadour haircut
He is hardened from slave work and survival, so it will take some time before he surrenders in any hopeless predicament.
Slightly good stamina, sprints for some time before restful walking.

Anything to bring on the setting:
Well, Will carries a set of survival self-made blades(woodcutting, flint-igniting, close counter self defence), a stave (it's much more safer to carry than a spear) and pieces of paper with quill. For confidence, he brings along two or three sketches of Eleanor, though scribbled and out of proportion.

I guess that's everything you suggested.

Anything you'd like to add:
I'd want to make some recordings of my role playing in this server and post it on youtube, since this server is creative in its works. I have skype, yet an adequate internet connection. Do you Mesalians have any interesting plug-ins I should know about?

#3
Alright so I should edit this application to change the role of my character in the lore of Mesalia then?
#4
Sounds good to me. A different profession, perhaps changing the back story a bit to work with everything. Just keep the lore in mind as well. Remember the purges, the Civil wars, and the fact that the war of veld ended 32 years ago. Good luck.

add me on skype, Animus.Patronus , how big is the playable IC world?
