I think it'd be useful to have the option to 'fade' global (much like OOC is currently, grey) so that IC chatter stands out. Opinions?

Personally, I'm against this. I think it works fine as is, with the "Global" and "Local" tags. People can just leave Global if they'd like.

I agree with both of you in a way. I've had quite a few posts missed because of global chatter whether it be others missing me or me missing others. Yes, leaving global works but I sometimes worry if I'm missing something, so if it's not incredibly hard to change being able to fade global would be useful. But if my guess that changing it would not be a simple matter is correct then I don't think it's worth the effort.

Likely wouldn't be a simple matter, no. You'd have to code a new chat plugin, the current one's made by thescreem and he's the only one with the source code for it. I've not seen him in months by now.
