My points of interest on the application were not that of telling you to remove parts of the application, but that there are conflicts with what you have written here and what is in the
Herbalism Lore. I need only the conflicts corrected.
Sleeping medicines:
My suggestion for the arrow/surgery of your back story is to, (in order for this to be in keeping with the lore and how a surgery should be preformed with it) simply add a carefully measured dose of Irid Cap to his tea.
The reason for this -
The way the back story is written implies heavily that the tea given to him was to cause sleep in a way that would allow your character to do surgery. What you have currently would not keep a man asleep during this procedure, the irid cap on the leg numbs the pain and feeling in the leg but the man can still move it which when preforming surgery is a bad thing.
If you intend
not to have him subdued during the surgery then the tea is giving the wrong impression and that needs revised. The sleep effects of the tea wont cause a man with an arrow in the knee to fall asleep while it's still in there or being removed.
Surgery:
My point was only my thoughts on how the procedure would be done with period appropriate tools and medicine. I don't need you to change anything with how the surgery is preformed. My point was constructive criticism in case you were unclear on the process. Sorry if I gave the impression I wanted the surgery removed.
Poison:
We have a lore proposal in the works currently for the release of poison lore. We can post that on the forums but it is not close to done. Which worries me about delaying your character any further because I know you're probably eager to RP.
Poisons are sort of outside of the realm of the kind of healing I feel like the Isohel's followers wouldn't study how to make them as part of the normal course of study, but more so how to treat them. If he studied them independently, enough so to make poisons of his own, he would need
1) poison making skill of some sort and mention in the back story of taking interest in. (But you may need to remove a skill to make room for poisons.)
2) Poison lore - We will post what we have on the forums and you can contribute to finishing this project. We can't have someone trained in a deadly skill with no lore behind how it works, we do this to avoid any powergaming or OPness and so people know what they're getting into when they get poisoned.
Also books are a thing, and while it takes time, your character can always learn new skills as points of advancement and growth for the character via rp.
