Due to a lot of recent irl issues and piling up stress, I've decided that I will need to take a break from Mesalia for a bit in the hopes of getting things steady and more stable too in the meantime. Ofcourse this ic trip and ooc break was foreshadowed a few times previously due to ic events that would require Lyrxi to make a trip sooner or later regardless, so I'm sure some people would have already seen this coming a while back.
This will actually be a group leaving of several characters at once, so I'll try to explain things as best I can.
Lyrxi decided to make his trip a bit earlier because after his last catch of fish, he has been having more issues with getting any more, rendering him increasingly unable to do anything further to help with food and its replenishment. So he decided to, rather than wait for a response from Marty that might take too long, take his chances to seek out other towns and such and see if they arent able to trade and/or help out Ravenna in terms of food supply while also having to do his delivery to the Xitian relatives of a good friend of his.
Lyr's family went with him because Dusken requested for them to travel together, as she did not want their family to break up at any point, even if it was only a temporary journey at heart. Lyrxi nor Dusken wanted to leave Jie 'alone' in Ravenna for the duration of the trip either, as clarified before in terms of not breaking the family apart.
With all of them gone for now, it can also be seen as that there is now at least a little less strain on the remaining food supply with 3 (technically 6 when including Arua and the children) mouths less to feed with the remaining supplies as well.
Arua will also be joining in on the trip with the Minwu family, this will include her twins, as explained by the following.
It had been a long winter, and an even longer year, indeed it had been many long years, since Arua had come to Ravenna. She had made a home here, a life, a family. But that which made her life in Ravenna warm, happy and full of hope was gone. Without Xemnes’ smile, without his warming embrace and his soft laugh, she was left to endure the deathly aura of the cold husk of a dead town, one that should have been left to its own, as Arua had always said.
Even in the children that she so dearly loved, the little ones that she had dreamed of with Xemnes so long ago, she saw little glimpses of her love, and it made her heart ache all the more painfully. Even so she endured, spurred on by the company of her friends and her patients, following her duty like she always had.
However, as those she deemed as friends began to leave, and those she trusted changed for the worse, she felt less and less welcome in the cold, empty town. But she knew she couldn’t leave, not on her own, and certainly not without her children. But with the harshness of winter still beating down the land, taking her small family away from the relative safety of such a place would be taking them to their deaths.
Hearing of the Minwu family’s journey, as they came to bid their farewells, Arua found her path to a new life, and one upon which she may gain the chance to see her love once more, one that she thanked the fates for. So she requested that she may join them, her and her two little ones, to find a better life outside of the cold town with its cold populace.
With that she packed up her few belongings, the little food she had stored away, her supplies and such, she cleaned the Healing House one last time, ensuring her patients were fine, and then left, her children in tow, and hope in her heart once more.
These characters are by no means permanently gone and might return at a later time.
