Now, sure, that's a pretty swish idea I think as it will probably help in covering the website costs (if it isn't free already) and could possibly help with the server up-keep (paying off the Beastnode mafia mob).
However, that would also involve a slight website change, I personally don't know what's phpBB's policy on adverts and the Staff would have to carefully chose which adverts are appropriate. All of that takes time to do.
It's a nice idea, don't get me wrong, but I think Staff are already over-worked as it is. Unless Screem wants to help, I doubt the Staffies will have time to add this while keeping to their numerous duties. I mean, we still have Lorem Ipsums on the website, that kinda needs to be taken care of first.

Screem does all the website stuff, I think. With regards to the formatting/coding and what not.
I'm learning it, and I could probably help with it. I think you can have it so that inappropriate ads don't show but I'm not entirely certain on that.

We don't need ads... We paid to not have them on enjin.

I'm against it, personally.
Over a year ago when Zark hit re-boot on Mesalia, the forum was hosted by this gaming network.
[8/09/2011 11:28:41 PM] Michelle Nguyen: There is so much advertising that it's basically made the integrity of the server and the network in general questionable =/
[8/09/2011 11:29:17 PM] Michelle Nguyen: Hard to respect a lore when it's followed by "Lonely? Try a Russian Girl"...
We ditched them shortly after, not just because of advertising, but because of malfunctioning forum stuff and the publicity not being worth it. Long story short, regardless of the appropriateness of the ads, it just seems... iffy, integrity-wise.
Also, Mesalia apparently has no issue with staying afloat financially at the moment.
