I've had this laptop for almost four years now, and I had it re-imaged (new OS and everything) last summer. However, through the year its performance had been a bit of an issue, as MC with anything else open would cause the temp of the core to soar above 85 or even 90 F, causing it to shut down before the system was damaged. This has resulted in some annoying DC's, but now since I finished finals a week or so ago the problem has gotten even worse. Now I can't even run MC (with nothing else but Skype open) without it overheating, and this means I can hardly carry on an RP. I had brought my computer in for maintenance a couple times this year but they were evidently unable to help the problem in any significant capacity.
Thankfully as a graduation present my parents will be helping me get a new desktop in a few weeks, and that should be a pretty nice build, but until then I'll probably be less active. I wish that I could be RPing more in the meantime as things with the setting hopefully pick up a bit, but what can you do. Feel free to Skype or PM me if you happen to need my character for an important RP or if you have any questions about what they'd be up to during this time, but for now I'd rather keep everyone where they are than remove characters from the setting if at all possible. And if anyone wants to keep me filled in on any significant happenings, I'd greatly appreciate that.
