Relations

[Note: These are done in first-person, though later I plan to make a section on each person in both first and third person, but not until she gets closer to some people / gets to know people better. I'm also not adding labels, seeing as she doesn't really know many people yet other than on an acquaintance level. Oh, and alphabetized! Hooray!]

Arua
Apparently she's a healer as well, and doesn't seem to mind if I help out every now or then. She, overall, seems like a nice person.

Darren
I'm actually perplexed by him. He told me that everyone around here couldn't be trusted -that they were all bad people. Yet from what I hear, it's the other way around. Apparently he's... not "evil" per say, but, bad news? Doesn't really matter to me, though. I don't trust him anyway. Or anyone else here yet, for that matter.

Dawn
From what I've heard, has been with the group for about a year, was / is close to Xemnes. She was hurt somehow and seems to be suffering from a loss of memory. I can't help but feel bad for her. I wonder if she's gotten her memory back by now... I've seen people have only temporary memory loss, but sometimes it's permanent.

Ice
He got pretty messed up back at the cave by the dusks. I don't really know anything about him, I just heard people refer to him by his name and such.

Will
He broke his jaw trying to fight off the dusks, said -well, implied he did, he can't speak with a binded / broken jaw -he got punched. I helped Arua bind his jaw. Seems to be close to the girl in the purple, not sure what her name is.

Xemnes
He wears some kind of mask, I think. Interesting, I suppose, but still somewhat odd. Is close to Dawn, apparently. And that other girl, whose name I don't think I've learned.[/center]

Personality

Because Sienna grew up with a sort of "mind your manners", and "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" lifestyle, she acts much... Nicer than she truly is. She tries to appear more enthusiastic, or trusting of people. Because anything she says is likely to be somewhat rude, impolite, or simply odd, she tends to ask people about themselves, or talk about things irrelevant to herself. She will keep quiet about her feelings, or simply make up some. She doesn't like being touched, at all, and is very uncomfortable about (almost) anything sexual. Even if it's a slight hug, or a casual hand on a shoulder, she'll try to move so she's not being touched.

She doesn't have specific morals, but she does have a sense of right and wrong. However, if something were to benefit herself or do harm to someone she dislikes; she may go with the immoral choice. But she's incredibly loyal, and anything that has to do with someone she cares deeply about, she will not hesitate to speak up (Well, of course she might hesitate slightly, but in the end she's probably going to agree with/ defend whoever she's loyal to), or even fight out of loyalty, despite however "wrong" it may be.

Appearance
Chibi version ftw?

Shirt isn't the right color, or the right kind of shirt, hair isn't wavy / curly enough, but meh.
Sienna is just under average height at exactly five feet tall. She has dark brown hair that stops just a little below her shoulder blades, perhaps to the middle of her back. The hair has a few long, natural curls, but nothing too curly, and they’re found mostly in her hair from her chin to the end of it. She has dark brown eyes, sometimes mistaken for black, with an obscure tint of bronze in them (the bronze being hard to notice). Her build is lean, not really “muscular”. Aside from being somewhat toned, there is not really any muscle visible. She has soft features accompanied by thin lips, a small chin and short nose.

She wears a tan shirt too long for her with a belt (the belt has pockets / empty knife holders) around her waist. The shirt continues down a few inches from the bottom of the belt, partially covering the pants she wears that stop just at her ankles. For footwear, she wears an old pair of brown hunting boots that were given to her (at the end of her back-story along with the clothes).

Skills / Knowledge

[No Real Skill] Carpentry – She only has a knowledge for it, and a slight skill for it. But that was long ago, when she was younger, so it’s pretty much just a knowledge she has from remembering her father teach and talk about it.

[Novice] Dying / Herbs for Dye – She knows the most common plants that can be made into dyes, and how to dye cloth, but hasn’t actually tried before. Maybe once or twice she has, but that’s it.

[Average] Herbalism – She can tell what plants are medical / useful for helping ease pains, but of course not automatically. She does not know them all, just those that were common around her city growing up. And she’s heard of other plants, but may not have seen them.

[Adept] Medical – Having treated injuries, she knows what the best, and, depending on the situation, most convenient way to treat most things is. She can stitch wounds, apply splints, and other things to heal wounds/injuries, but there’s, of course, a limit to what she knows.

Backstory

Bells rang; people cheered. Abran and Dena were officially wed to one another, and there was a regal ceremony. Abran's family was poor, while Dena came from a family of nobles. It might've looked quite the odd scene -half the people clearly nobles of wealth, while the other half the exact opposite. Nevertheless, there was pure happiness in the air. Abran and Dena were ecstatic the whole night, as they'd been together years. Even before that, they'd known each other.

~Two Years Later~

Dena sat, cradling a young child. The child had dark strands of hair (as much hair as a one-year old can have), matching her dark eyes, and a content expression as she slept. The child's name was Sienna, and she was a year old.

Abran was away, completing orders. He was in the carpentry business before he and Dena were wed, and despite his new status as a noble, he refused to give up on his near-mastered skill. Exaggerating, of course, but he was great at what he did.

Dena, however, stayed at home and took care of Sienna. She was perfectly happy being your average house wife (or average back then for a noble). And they never worried about money; Dena being the daughter of the city's leader where they lived had its advantages.

It was a year before the end of The Purge, and things were intense. As Dena sat, holding Sienna as a mother would, a loud scream was heard from outside, followed by triumphant yells –they sounded like yells of victory. Dena didn't dare go outside, fearing what she would see. She didn't need to go outside, really, because just as she debated it, her father stepped in holding a head. Red eyes glistened from the head, and were clearly glazed over.

"For Gods' sakes, Father, there's a child in here!" she exclaimed, partially covering the awakened Sienna's eyes.

"She should see this. Another Xitian was found hiding in my city... I won't stand for it! She should see what happens when those who have murdered and enslaved our ancestors step foot on my land, even if she's too young to understand it." he replied coolly, but with implied anger for Xitians. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some harbor-ers to punish." And with that he left, still holding the head of the dead Xitian, not even stopping to apologize for the... remains that had dropped onto the floor from the head.

~Years Later~

That's how Sienna's grandfather always was, even after The Purge ended. He continued to make sure no Xitains were within furlongs of the town. Sienna’s earliest memories were those of arguments, usually involving her mother and grandfather. Her mother would say he needed to relax, that the threat of Xitians were gone, while Sienna's grandfather would argue they were simply planning. Later he'd be proved right.

In the years following The Purge, things were calm in the city. Sienna was growing up to be a great woman, aside from her un-ladylike personality. Her father taught her a few things pertaining to carpentry, and she even tried helping him on his jobs (she wasn't that good of a carpenter, only having days of experience, even with the knowledge she had of it). It wasn't her passion, though. She always eyed the herb garden that was behind the healer's home. She eyed it with envy. It must be the most amazing thing in the world, being able to save someone from death with mere herbs. Alas, her mother didn't like her "wasting time", as she would say, with "hobbies". The only reason she could even go with her father those few times is because he'd persuade Dena. But, now and again, she did sneak out, and go to the healer's garden. She learned things, things that made her happy. Hell, whenever her mother was definitely not around their home to scold her for being out, she'd help the city's healer with his patients. Bram, the healer, said she was a natural. He thought she'd be a great healer if she tried.

Sienna's destiny laid somewhere else, though (or so she thought),"somewhere else" being that handsome Innkeeper's son who lived near the city forge. His name was Atticus, and a mutual feeling of fondness was shared for one another, even though they were both young.

~Years Later~

Things were no longer calm in the city. Thievery had gone haywire; crimes rose. Rumors that were once few were now plentiful. These rumors were about Harold, the town leader –Sienna’s grandfather. The city folk told takes of corruption in the city's leaders, both with Herald and his family, excluding Sienna and her father. Every time Sienna heard one of these rumors, she became furious. She would not let her grandfather's good name be tarnished. She often got into scuffles with the city folk, defending him. But what she never asked herself was, "Could the rumors be true?" She'd not spoken to her grandfather in quite some time, she'd been busy, and what with spending time with Atticus and her newfound apprenticeship as the healer’s pupil (her mother finally approved it, seeing as it clearly wasn’t some “hobby”).

~Laaaateeeerr (Months or so) ~

The rumors continued, and after being scolded enough, Sienna stop starting quarrels with people. She tried her best to ignore the rude comments / rumors and bite her tongue. Even though the rumors weren't just about corruption, they were about something much worse.

They were about alignment -with the Xitians, involving promises of wealth to Harold.

Could it be true? Would the great, once-incredibly respected Harold trade with... With Xitians? For mere riches? It’s impossible. All the Xitians were killed.

... Weren't they?

~~

A terrible storm hit the city. Lightening struck the forest near the Inn, setting it alight, and inevitably setting the Inn on fire, as well. Atticus, now the Innkeeper, was distraught. His job, his inherited family Inn -all destroyed. He became furious. He wasn't even angry at anyone in particular, but he kept occasionally mumbling about how the Inn being burned down would "mess up the plan”. Every time Sienna would ask what he meant, Atticus would push her away and refuse to answer. Usually, her being the paranoid woman she was, she’d question him until he’d tell her. However, she respected him and trusted him enough to not be doing –or be involved in anything –that wasn’t good for him. Oh, how she was wrong to trust him...
Soon news reached by travelers who came through about a Civil War going on in the Mainland. They were lucky; no fighting had broken out in the city. Not yet, anyway. Sienna was glad for this, because soon she and Atticus were engaged, and eager to be wed, despite Atticus' new attitude.
Whenever passersby spoke of the Civil War (wherever, it didn't matter, just if someone spoke about it) he'd yell and say they were lying. Atticus wasn't one to yell at strangers, which was odd. It would sound like he was... defending the Civil War. But why would he do such a thing? Only the Gods' knew. And each day became more frustrating between Sienna and Atticus, ever since the day the Inn burned down. He seemed awfully impatient, but for no apparent reason.

~~

Sienna woke up to screaming that day. But what was "that day", one might ask? Why, it was the day the city succumbed to corruption and fighting broke out, of course. The Civil War had reached them.
But, that wasn’t the least of it all. Neither was the fact that the rumors were true about Harold –about him making a pact with someone to gain wealth. It was that Atticus was part of it all, and nobody knew. Not even Harold. Atticus was working undercover, on the inside. If the plan didn’t’ work with Harold, he’d steal the gold when he married Sienna. He’d have access to the gold, of course. It’d be easy. But so would it be to trick that greedy ol’ bastard, they just had to figure out which would be easier. Atticus and his bandit friends (there never were really any Xitians involved that that Atticus knew of, but who knows? The Xitians did help start the Civil War…) would meet up at the Inn and converge about their plans, and once it was burned down… He had no way to properly contact them. That’s why he was so flustered when it burned down. Why would Attics do that, though? He was just poor, and tired of being poor. He had planned to run away with the riches. Even with his family owning the Inn, he was poor. Nevertheless, Atticus was a fool. He ruined their chances of getting any gold. He foiled their plan, because he tried to steal all of the gold by himself.

...While guards were on duty.

And Harold himself was in there, where the gold was guarded.

Inevitably, Atticus was killed; Sienna grieved. She wasn't sure whether to be angry or sad, but either way, she grieved. She grieved, yearning for the tranquil city that once was her home. She grieved for the lives lost once all Hell broke loose when people weren't sure whose side anyone was on anymore. She just grieved.

There was nothing left for Sienna. Soon, almost everyone she knew was either killed or was fighting a hopeless battle when people on Atticus’ side went to his aide. She fought her way out of the city, heading to a well-known, nearby place, grief-stricken, but hopeful. A neutral place, corruption-less, where she got rid of her noble apparel and found something else to where. Being a noble was tiresome; never again would she wear elegant dresses or have a manor to go home to every night. Why would she do such a thing, you ask? Because she wanted to start anew. Still in shock over Atticus’ lie, and the fact that her whole relationship with him was all some ruse, she stayed there only a few days before taking the first boat to the Forbidden lands, away from the Civil War and its destruction and the deceiving lies it brought[/center].

For now, this'll be the format. Everything I'll update (or the main stuff, depending on if she changes clothes / learns new skills) is in the first post... Makes it easier, seeing as I mainly update this stuff from my mobile. I also updated the relations, which isn't much considering I've had IRL problems preventing me from being online.
