Alroc
There is nothing I will not do for this town. I am her leader and her protector. Everything else in my life is meaningless compared to the grander purpose this town has given me. I can't help but get angry when people jeopardize the gift that's Alroc's rebirth with violence, threats, theft, or deceit. I love this town, it is all I have and I will protect it, and lead it until my last breath if I must.
Cyrus -
Cyrus is my oldest friend here in town. We’re close, though we rarely talk of anything of substance. He is the only one in town still that knows the grim details of Alroc’s and my own past and I’m rather content to keep it that way. He seems genuinely worried for Mire as of late and I can’t say I blame him. He never seems to give much of a shit about people, but Mire seems to be the exception. Given their history it’s unsurprising.
Nerissa -
She started working with me and quickly became one of my closest friends. I like her attitude, and I respect her strength. She’s been a great help at the farm, and personally I feel she’s someone I can rely on without question. She seems to respect me and value our friendship in kind.
Mire -
I have known Mire a long time, but I can’t say I know her well. A lot of different things have been said about her as of late that make me wonder if I gave up on getting to know her too soon.
Chathra -
I like Chathra. This bitch has the right idea, I think. I really need to get to the inn more often to see her. I definitely could find a friend in her, I think, at the very least, a good argument. I wish she’d think of a better nickname though…
Daulton -
A good kid that was sent to the Forbidden Lands to die. He won't listen to reason but every guard I’ve ever met has died out here because of the dusk, or pirates, or any number of unknown nasties that lurks out here. He didn’t seem to believe me when I told him, and the more I learn about where he’s from the more likely it seems he’s not supposed to come back from this ‘mission’ of his.
Orvich -
I have read stories about knights in shining armor and there honor and senses of duty, I never thought I’d see one in Alroc, let alone a woman. She’s a good person, well meaning but pretty stuck on this honor business, which seems to be far too rigid a way to live a life, if you ask me.
Zarkaylia -
My second in command. She’s certainly not as rigid as Orvich but she seems to operate by her own code. I don’t think she cares much for taking orders from someone half her age, which makes me worry about my job. I believe she’s been hinting I maybe too busy to do all that I do, and she maybe right, but that doesn’t mean I’m handing the protection of Alroc to a stranger.
Seven -
This kid was a slave, and I guess that makes you all sorts of broken. He doesn’t really understand a lot of things we take for granted as common place and seems to blindly follow instructions in spite of my telling him he always has a choice. I think he’d hurt someone if I asked it of him, and that’s some scary shit.
Thomas -
Don’t stick your dick in crazy, mate.
Peyton -
She's not at all what she appears. It has reminded me of the duplicity of people, a hard lesson I'd nearly forgotten in my years alone. To come from someone I'd regarded as innocent has sent me reeling. I look at everyone now and wonder. I'm not accustomed to such suspicion, I fear what her bedmate truly plans for her...
Remilia
I don't know her well but she shares my love of books so she can't be all bad. She seems a little accident prone, but goal orientated, which is nice. I hope to show her my collection.
Heidi -
She’s really rather adorable, but tends to run away from me when I’m without my shirt. Sorry sister, summer is hot and I’m not going to give myself a stroke for your sake.
Koi -
I am not sure what to make of this kid. I’m glad he’s working, but his first impression was so frustratingly bad. I really am not sure if he can be trusted, but so long as he stays out of trouble I’ve no quarrel with him.
Rafiq -
Helping me tend the animals and generally a pretty nice guy, I can say I’ve liked Rafiq so far, and want to get to know him.
William -
He works hard, but slowly. I have been helping him out where I can but I can’t say I know much of anything about him. I do know, however, I've pissed him off in a way that isn't ever going to be made up for. I respect him enough to try and keep my distance from him. It was not wise to encourage his wrath, but I feared for Nerissa, and had to do something...
Nadia -
Wants to blow up my mines. Cyrus seems to have a grand plan for getting this whole thing to work, but I’ve my doubts still…
Mathias -
I have met this man all of twice. His thoughts on the treatment of women disgust me. I don't know him well, and he's left a poor enough impression that I don't wish to know him better.
Elizabeth -
She now holds the longest record for questioning in regards to crimes in Alroc. Even my guards believe it's time we stop warning her and start arresting. But thus far I've dissuaded them. I dislike Elizabeth on a personal level, but her actions don't tell me she is any sort of criminal mastermind. As disappointing as it is for a woman her age, I believe she is little more then desperate for attention. Either way, if she is as dangerous as she appears, I know it is only a matter of time before she herself makes that clear. The dangerous ones always do.
Jak -
This guy is either a pirate, or an idiot. I can’t tell which. I admit I lost my temper with him, but his threats and assault on my guard are no small matter. He has proven himself dangerous and the second I see so much as a black sail, I’m going to throw him back into a cell and lose the key. I will not risk Alroc’s rebirth because of some prick in a navy jacket.
