Ferenc was well-accustomed to traveling, and the motley group that he found himself traveling alongside after the destruction of Auria seemed hopeless and lost (both physically and mentally) at first. However, even though the pace of their travel never matched what he was used to, the sincerity of their ways eventually came to grow on him.
Despite this he- as always- never felt quite at home, and he yearned to find a company of travelers with whom he could better share his love of music. He began to make preliminary plans to leave the group as early as the monastery, but it wasn't until they faced the vast expense of a seemingly endless desert that his decision was certain.
He may have appreciated folklore, but Ferenc never was a man of faith, and though he wished the group the best he did believe them a bit foolish for venturing straight towards seemingly imminent death. He was sure that he would come to miss them at some point, but this was normal and he was entirely used to it. He could always lift his spirits with the hope that he may have brought some joy into these people's lives with his music and festivals.
